Tusker FC’s Ryan Ogam continues to lead the scoring charts with an impressive 15 goals in 14 matches. He was unable to add to his tally in Tusker’s recent fixture against Ulinzi Stars at Dandora Stadium on January 25th, where midfielder Chris Erambo secured the all-important goal for the Brewers.
KCB’s Francis Kahiro remains in second place with 9 goals, as his team was not in action during round 18. Meanwhile, Shabana FC’s Brian Michira Migiro held onto third place despite failing to find the net, as his team’s lone goal against Sofapaka was scored by Ezekiah Omuri.
Bandari’s Mohamed Beja Nyamawi ended his four-game goal drought in style, scoring the decisive goal in his team’s 1-0 win over Nairobi City Stars in Mombasa last Sunday. The strike took his season tally to 7 goals. Talanta FC’s Emmanuel Osoro also added to his tally in his team’s 2-1 defeat to Posta Rangers, netting Talanta’s consolation goal to join Nyamawi at 7 goals.
Meanwhile, Moses Shumah was unlucky not to register his eighth goal of the season. His header was controversially ruled out for offside, a decision that has sparked debate among Kenyan football fans. With the goal disallowed, Shumah remains on 7 goals.
