Kenya’s rising star Timothy Ouma is celebrating his first major silverware with Czech giants Slavia Praha, after the club secured the Czech Republic league title on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Slavia were confirmed champions following a commanding 5-0 victory over SK Sigma Olomouc.
Slavia Praha had already dominated the regular season, finishing top with 78 points after 30 matches. They carried their impressive form into the Championship round, and Saturday’s emphatic win saw them stretch their tally to 81 points — an unassailable 13 points ahead of second-placed FC Viktoria Plzeň.
Ouma, who joined Slavia in February from Sweden’s IF Elfsborg in a blockbuster Ksh 473 million deal, is yet to make his debut for the Czech champions due to reported documentation delays. Despite not featuring on the pitch yet, the Harambee Stars midfielder is eagerly anticipated by both Slavia fans and Kenyan supporters, especially with the prospect of seeing him shine in European competitions.

The 20-year-old had already built an impressive reputation during his stint with Elfsborg, starring in the Europa League against top clubs like Athletic Bilbao, Galatasaray, and AS Roma. His move to Prague was seen as a major step forward in his promising career.
With Slavia Praha now set for more European action next season, all eyes will be on Timothy Ouma as he prepares to finally don the famous red and white jersey.
