KMC Complex, Tanzania – Harambee Starlets striker Jentrix Shikangwa delivered a stellar performance, netting four goals and providing 2 assists as Simba Queens dismantled Mlandizi Queens 11-0 in a Tanzanian Women’s Premier League clash on Wednesday. The emphatic victory saw the league leaders underline their dominance as they resumed league action after a prolonged break.

Simba’s last league outing was a 5-0 demolition of Alliance Girls on December 31, 2024. They picked up right where they left off, with Aisha Mnunka opening the scoring in the 7th minute from a Ruth Ingosi assist. Burundi international Asha Djafari doubled their lead in the 15th minute, and Ruth Ingosi made it three before halftime with a fine header off a corner.
The second half was the Jentrix Shikangwa show. The Kenyan international struck her first in the 49th minute, beating the offside trap, and assisted Aisha Mnunka’s second goal moments later. Shikangwa found the net again in the 53rd and 57th minutes, completing her hat trick in spectacular style.

She wasn’t done yet, as she turned provider for Nigerian forward Precious Christopher to make it 8-0. Ruth Ingosi recorded her second and third assists of the day, setting up Asha Djafari twice to complete her hat trick and push the scoreline to double digits.
Mlandizi Queens’ troubles deepened when Rosemary Elias was shown a red card for tripping Shikangwa, who was clear on goal. Shikangwa converted the resulting free kick, sealing her four-goal haul and rounding off Simba’s dominant display.

Shikangwa’s league tally now stands at 13 goals in 9 matches, solidifying her position as the league’s top scorer. The victory keeps Simba Queens unbeaten and at the summit of the table with 28 points from 10 matches, extending their lead over second-placed JKT Queens to five points, though the latter has a game in hand.
